Nellie Onita Skidmore, 91, Enjoyed Gardening
Nellie Onita Skidmore age 91 of Grafton passed away Monday, April 18, 2005, evening in New Life Hospice Residental Center in Lorain after a short illness.She was born Friday, May 16, 1913 in Normantown W.Va., living in Grafton since 1963.
Mrs. Skidmore is a member of Upper Steer Run Missionary Baptist Church in Normantown and attended Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church for many years.
Mrs. Skidmore was a homemaker who enjoyed her family, gardening, cooking, and caring for her family home.
She is survived by 1 Daughter Pauline Hardman of Grafton, Ohio, Sons Jerl Skidmore of LaGrange, Ohio, Charles Skidmore of Elyria, Ohio, 10 Grand children, 20 Great grand children, 14 Great great grand children, 4 Great great great grand children, and several nieces & nephews, 1 Sister Viola Whitesel of Grafton.
She is proceded in death by her husband Raymond in 1987, a son Otis in 1982, 5 Brothers & 1 Sister.
Friends may call in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. in Grafton Thursday, April 21, 2005, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm & 7:00 - 9:00pm with funeral services in Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church 98888 Parsons Rd. Grafton on Friday at 11:00 am with Elder Larry Fisher pastor of Rosedale Missionary Baptist Church in Rosedale, W.Va. Rev. Charles Keesee pastor of Midway Baptist Church in Elyria will conduct graveside services in Mt. Pisgah Ch. cemetery.
