Ronald Edward Niemiec, 47, Former Nordson Electronic Technician

Born March 25, 1958 in Lorain, Ron was a life-long resident of the city.

He attended Saint Peter Parish School and went on to graduate from Lorain Catholic High School as a member of the Class of 1976. He later attended both Akron University and Lorain County Community College. In 1986 he graduated from the Hickok Technical Institute where he received certification as an electronics technician.

A parishioner of the Catholic Church of Saint Peter in Lorain, Mr. Niemiec was previously employed as an electronic technician for the Nordson Corporation. His interests included fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his mother: Betty Niemiec (nee Elenin) of Lorain, brother: Donald Niemiec of Seattle, Washington, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father; Edward in September of 2004, by his maternal grandparents: Carl and Mary (nee Martonchik) Elenin and by his paternal grandparents: John and Katherine (nee Nosal) Niemiec.

Family funeral services were held Friday in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel – Lorain with the Reverend Kenneth Wolnowski, pastor of the Catholic Church of Saint Peter officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery – Lorain.
