Stanely "Ricky" Decker, 55, Avid Race Car Driver
Stanley Ricky Decker, 55, of Elyria, died Wednesday April 20, 2005 at home after a long illness.He was born in Barnesville, Ohio and had resided in Lorain and Elyria most of his life.
Ricky served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
He was previously employed at Diamond Products and was an avid race car driver and owner. He was a member of Freedom Nation Motorcycle Club.
He is survived by his brothers Paul Decker of Sullivan, Chris Leatherwood of Lorain and Gary Leatherwood of Lorain, sisters Marsha Casselman and Deborah Carter, both of Lorain and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Thamer Decker, mother Helen Decker-Leatherwood (nee Brown) and brothers William Decker and David Leatherwood.
Memorial services will be held Friday at 6:00 PM at the Freedom Nation Motorcycle Clubhouse in Lorain. The Rev. Dallas Bryan of Living Faith Christian Life Center will officiate.
