John Albert Rhoades, 27, Enjoyed Fishing and Hunting

John Albert Rhoades, 27 of Vermilion, died Friday, April 22, 2005 at his home after a 3 year illness with cancer.

He was born August 10, 1977 in Amherst and has been a life long resident of Vermilion.

He worked in the maintenance department at the Great Lake Historical Society/Inland Seas Maritime Museum, Vermilion. He was a graduate of Vermilion High School Class of 1996, where he participated on the wrestling and football teams. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and bicycling.

Survivors include his parents, Donna (nee Pine) and Russell Molnar of Vermilion, father, John Rhoades of Vermilion, 3 brothers, Larry Kamps, Steve Kamps, and Jason Rhoades all of Vermilion and 1 sister Janice Rhoades-Temple of Vermilion; maternal grandparents Joanne & Don Pine of Vermilion; paternal grandmother, Marie Rhoades of Vermilion; step grandparents, Jan and Dawn Molnar of Vermilion; 2 nieces and a nephew and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Clarence Rhoades.

Friends may call Sunday, April 24, 2005, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion.

Private family services will be held. Interment will follow in Peaks Cemetery, Berlin Twp.
