Floyd Bachman, 74, Enjoyed Fixing Cars and Repair Work
Floyd Bachman, 74, of Vermilion died suddenly Saturday, April 23, 2005 at Metro Health Medical Center, Cleveland.Born December 28, 1930 in Vermilion, he was a life long resident.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving as a Class "A" Engineman from 1952 to 1961.
He was a mechanic at E & L Transport for 30 years retiring in 1992.
He was a member of the VFW Post 7576, Vermilion and enjoyed fixing cars, doing repair work and going to garage sales.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Clara (nee Stutler); sons, Dwayne Bachman of Lorain, Albert Bachman and Allen Bachman of Vermilion; daughter, Tammy Blatt, Mt Juliet, TN; 5 grandchildren, Dwayne B. Bachman, Jr., Maxwell Spencer Bachman, Jonie Godley, Ernest Thomas, jr. and Kurtis Thomas; brothers, Roger and Melvin Bachman of Vermilion and Lavern Bachman of Cleveland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Bernice (Worcester) Bachman, brothers, Dale and Clyde and a sister, Shriley Weinot.
Friends may call Wednesday, April 27, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Matt Humphrey, funeral celebrant, will officiate. Burial will be at Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion. The Vermilion Veterans Council will conduct military graveside services.
