James Clyde Siesky, 56, Truck Driver
James Clyde Siesky, 56 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Friday, April 29, 2005 at New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain following a lengthy illness.He was born April 25, 1949 in Connellsville, Pennsylvania. He was raised in Pennsylvania before moving to Elyria in 1960. He had made his home in Amherst for the past forty years.
James was self-employed as a truck driver for six years. Prior to self-employment he worked as a truck driver for E&L Transport in Lorain for twenty one years, he was also employed at Cassens Transport and Sheffield Terminal Company. He was a member of First Baptist Church of LaGrange for ten years. He enjoyed camping.
Survivors include his loving companion of fifteen years, Virginia Sorrell; his sons, James Siesky of Wakeman, Scott Siesky of Sandusky, Michael Siesky of Norwalk; his daughter Corrie of Vermilion; his stepson Kevin Sorrell of Vermilion; his stepdaughter Lisa Price of LaGrange, seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his half brother Tom Brown; and by his parents Clyde and Evelena Siesky.
Friends may call Sunday, May 1, 2005 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Avenue, Amherst. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. from the funeral home. The Rev. Noel Hack, pastor of First Baptist Church of LaGrange, will officiate. Burial will be in Kendeigh Corners Cemetery, Amherst Township.
