Kenneth "Ken" A. Krafczinski, 49, Professional Stationary Engineer
Kenneth A. "Ken" Krafczinski, 49, of Lorain died Sunday May 1, 2005 in his home following a lengthy illness.He was born December 9, 1955 in Elyria. He was a life long resident of Lorain. He graduated from Southview High School in 1974.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1975 untill 1980. He earned a Longevity Metal and a Good Conduct Metal.
Mr. Krafczinski was professional stationary engineer who worked for the Ohio Edison plant in Lorain for 13 years, Fairview General Hospital for 6 years and retired due to illness from R.T. I., Lorain in 2002.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 30 Lorain. He enjoyed maintaining his 1973 Dodge Charger, fixing lawn mower and snow blower engines. He also enjoyed gardening and traveling.
Among the survivors are his wife Pam (nee Conley) of 28 years; son Matthew B. Krafczinski of Lorain, a daughter Rachel M. Gayhart of Lorain; his parents Donald and Mary (nee Bowman) Krafczinski of Fitchville; sisters Fran Golubic of Fitchville and Gail Krafczinski of Norwalk.
Friends may call Tuesday, May 3, 2005, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio.
Funeral service will be Wednesday at the funeral home at 11:00 AM. The Reverend Daniel Bogre, Pastor of Fitchville United Methodist Church will officiate.
