Glenna Grey Strader, 71, Avid Cleveland Indians Fan

Glenna Grey Strader (nee: Powers), 71 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2005 at Community Health Partners H & S Center in Lorain following a lengthy illness.

She was born June 14, 1933 in Cleveland, West Virginia and raised in Gaines, West Virginia. She moved to Ohio in 1966 and lived most of her life in Lorain.

Glenna loved being surrounded by her family. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed murder mysteries classic television.

Survivors include her sons Michael Strader, Rodney Strader, and Timothy Strader, all of Lorain, David Strader of Mebane, North Carolina, and Clifford Strader of Smithfield, Kentucky; her daughter Darlene Eppler of Lorain; many grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Bulah Blanch and Thomas Wade Powers (nee: Haymond); by her brothers Gayle, Forrest, Ron, and Stanley Powers; and by her sisters Irene Quinley and Lucille Lane.

Friends may call Monday, May 09, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Avenue, Amherst. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the funeral home. The Pastor Geneva Hedrick, of Haven Nondenominational Church of Lorain will officiate.
