Anna L. Siennicki, 94, Co-owner of Oberlin Avenue Carpet Shop

Anna L. Siennicki, (nee Zajkowski), 94, of Vermilion, died Friday, May 20, 2005 in Community Health Partners West, Lorain after a 5 year illness.

She was born May 23, 1910 in Lorain, and moved to Vermilion in 1951.

She and her husband, Stanley were co-owners and operators of Oberlin Avenue Carpet Shop, Lorain, for 27 years. She had also been a teller and treasurer of Citizens Home Savings in Lorain. She was a past member of the Altrusa Club, Lorain, the Quota Club, Lorain, St. Mary Catholic Church Vermilion, a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, a former member of Nativity Catholic Church, Lorain where she was a member of the choir and soloist for 25 years. She had been a member of the National Honor Society of Lorain High School..

She is survived by a sister, Sylvia Jaworski of Amherst, 2 nieces and 1 nephew.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Stanley, 1995 , parents, Sylvester and Mary (nee Ruminski), Zajkowski, sisters, Lucy Szmania, Martha Sobieski, and Theresa Michalski, and brother, Joseph Zajkowski.

Friends may call Tuesday from 10 a.m. -11:45 a.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon on Tuesday at St. Marys Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
