Sophie Lengyel, 88, Enjoyed Arts & Crafts
Sophie Lengyel (nee Makowski), age 88, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at Kingston of Vermilion.She was born on April 8, 1917 in Cleveland and had lived in Cleveland and Lakewood before moving to Vermilion in 1971.
She had worked for the Eaton Heating Company in Cleveland for several years. She enjoyed the company of her nieces and nephews, fishing, baking and the arts and crafts activities at Kingston.
She is survived by her sisters, Helen Sikon, Maple Heights, and Harriet Drzal of Garfield Heights, and several nieces and nephews
Preceding her in death were her husband, John Lengyel, Jr. in 2002, parents, Marcel and Franciszka (nee Kuchnicha) Makowski, brothers, Walter and John Makowski and sisters, Phyllis Karash, Ann Makowski and Stella Karash.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 28, 2005 from 1:00pm until the time of services at 3:00pm. The Reverend Myrtle Eppler will officiate.
