Fleda Jean Yost, 87, Enjoyed Cooking and Crossword Puzzles
Fleda Jean Yost (nee Wilson), 87, of Lorain died Tuesday May 31, 2005 at Grace Hospital in Amherst after a short illness.She was born August 28, 1917 in Mannington, West Virginia and had resided in Lorain since 1951.
Jean enjoyed cooking, tomato gardening, crossword puzzles, embroidery and family activities.
She is survived by her son Charles N. Yost and his wife Mary Alice of Wakeman, daughter Charlotte Foisy of Lorain, son Tom Yost and his wife Marijane of West Virginia, 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and sister Pat Wilson-Dehaven of Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Elah (nee Roberts) Wilson, granddaughter Tracie Marie Yost in 2000 and brothers Edward Wilson, William Wilson, Richard Wilson, Fredrick Wilson, Donald Wilson and Frank Wilson.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 3, 2005 from 2-4, 7-9 PM at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM. The Rev. Dale Warrick pastor of Cornerstone United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
An open house will follow on Saturday from 1-5 PM at the home of Charles and Mary Alice Yost, 8806 State Route 60, Wakeman.
