Flora Vineda Patterson, 79, Avid Collector of Antique Glassware
Flora Vineda Patterson (nee Hale), age 79, of Lorain, died on Friday, June 17, 2005 at Community Health Partners HSC- West, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.
She was born on August 11, 1925 in Morgan, Alabama before moving to Lorain in 1949. She was a member of Christian Life Church, Lorain.
She was a , angels, flowers, especially pink roses. She was a homemaker who loved cooking, home decorating and avid collector of antique glasswarespending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years Hiriam; son Armond “Ricky” of Lorain; daughter Linda K. Shullick, of Lorain; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and sister Audrey Dunlap, of Bessemer, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her son Robert Allen Patterson in 2004; parents Wiley Hale in 1951 and mother Sarah Ann Hale in 1976; and brothers Lenard Hale in 1951 and James Hale in 1980.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 21, 2005 from 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Wallace Justice, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
