Richard A. �Bad Rad� Radich, 61, Retired Lorain City Fire Fighter

Photo of Richard A. “Bad Rad” Radich Richard A. “Bad Rad” Radich, 61, of Lorain, died Monday June 27, 2005 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain after a lengthy illness.

He was born August 19, 1943 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.

Rich graduated from Lorain High School in 1961 and served with the US Air Force as an Airman Second Class from 1961-1965.

Rich worked as a Lorain City Firefighter for 30 years retiring in 1995. He was a member of AMVETS Post #47 in Lorain, Elks Lodge #1301 in Lorain and Firefighters Local #267. He enjoyed all sports and was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years Linda (nee Zimmerman); daughters Tracy Radich of Lakewood and Jodi Radich of Lorain; brother George Radich of Florida; and sister Kathy Skorvanek of Lorain.

He was preceded in death by his mother Geraldine Govelovich (nee Koleno); father George “Slim” Radich; and stepbrother George Govelovich.

The family will receive friends Wednesday 4-8 PM at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain where funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
