Arthur Louis Kaeser, 88, Manufacturing Engineer
Arthur Louis Kaeser, 88 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2005 at Community Health Partners H & S Center in Lorain.He was born February 12, 1917 in Cincinnati, where he lived and was raised till moving with his wife and family to Springfield, Ohio in 1953. He has been a resident of Amherst since 2000.
He was employed as a manufacturing engineer for a number of factories, including Musgrave Mfg. Co., Western Tool, and Parker Sweeper. Mr. Kaeser retired from Process Equipment Co., in U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, and was an active member of St. Raphael Church where he was a reader. Kaeser was the first Eagle Scout of his troop in 1935 in Cincinnati. He was the Scout Master of troop #27 for many years at St. Raphael in Springfield and was awarded the St. George Award and the Silver Beaver.
Survivors include his sons Gerald and John Kaeser, both of Springfield, and Richard Kaeser of Moorestown, New Jersey; his daughter Susan Cotton of Amherst; fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-nine years, Ruth Kaeser (nee: Spenlen) in 1999; by his son Ronnie Kaeser in 1992; by his parents Arthur Paul and Rosa Kaeser (nee: Vogel) and by his brother Willard Kaeser.
Friends may call Wednesday, July 20, 2005 from 4-7 p.m. at the Conroy Funeral Home; 1660 East High Street, Springfield. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. from St. Raphael Church in Springfield with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Springfield.
A memorial service will be conducted at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst on Saturday, August 6, 2005 at 10 a.m.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Local arrangements are being handled by Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Avenue, Amherst.
