Dwight ''Bud'' Eigenbrod, 73, Accountant
Dwight Bud Eigenbrod, 73, of Avon, formerly of Rocky River, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2005 at his home of cancer.Mr. Eigenbrod was born February 23, 1932 in Cleveland and had lived in Rocky River for 41 years before moving to Avon 8 years ago.
Mr. Eigenbrod was a 1950 graduate of John Marshal High School, Cleveland. He served in the Tank Corp of the US Army during the Korean War and upon returning from Korea continued his service in the National Guard. He worked for 42 years as an accountant, for LTV Steel, Cleveland, retiring as a supervisor for the Invoicing Department.
Mr. Eigenbrod was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church, Rocky River where he served as the Church’s Financial Secretary and Vice President of the Church Council. He was an Assistant Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop 666, Rocky River. He loved Baseball and played softball for various leagues include the LTV league and the Rocky River Police League.
Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Road, Avon, Wednesday, July 20, from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, July 21, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, July 22nd, at St. Thomas Lutheran Church, 21211 Detroit Road, Rocky River at 10 a.m. Pastor Eric L. Van Scyoc of the church will officiate. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be forwarded to the Tuition Fund of St. Thomas Lutheran School, 21211 Detroit Road, Rocky River.
