Gladys L. Simpson, 79, Devoted Wife And Mother
Gladys L. Simpson, (nee Browning), age 78, of Lorain, died Monday July 18, 2005 in the emergency room of Amherst Hospital following an extended illness.Mrs. Simpson was born May 11, 1926 in Harlan County, Kentucky and had been a resident of Lorain since 1926 coming from Kentucky.
Gladys was a homemaker who attended the Broadway Assembly Church. in Lorain.
Survivors include her husband of sixty years Henry, sons Ronald L. Simpson of Kingwood, Texas, David E. Simpson of Amherst, Joseph K. Simpson of Lorain, and James D. Simpson of Sandusky, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and sisters Iva and Della both of whom reside in Maryland.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 21, 2005 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo- Hromada Funeral Chapel – 3224 Broadway – Lorain. Funeral services will be Friday at a 11:00 a.m. in the funeral chapel with the Reverend Mark Lantz, pastor of Broadway Assembly of Lorain officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens - Avon.
