Bernard Wendall Miller, 71, Ford Moto Co. Inspector

Bernard Wendall Miller age 71 of Grafton passed away Monday morning August 1, 2005 in Elyria Memorial Hospital R.M.C. after a long illness.

He was born Saturday, February 3, 1934 in Elyria and lived in the Grafton/Elyria area all his life.

He was a member of the First Presb. Church in Elyria for 31 years and currently attends The Church of the Open Door in Elyria.

Mr. Miller served in the U.S. Air Force after the Korean Conflict as a jet engine mechanic.

He was employed by the Ford Motor Company as an inspector for quality control and for the Ohio Truck Plant until retiring in 1989.

He was a member of the LaGrange Engine Club, enjoyed working on cars, and antique engines, enjoyed fishing & hunting, swimming,& singing.

He is survived by his wife Ruth married 45 years, 1 Son Mike Miller of Grafton, Ohio, 1 Daughter Luane Maddock of Strongsville, Ohio, 2 Grandchildren, 1 Sister Donna Smith of Grafton, Ohio, 1 Brother Skip Miller of Grafton, Ohio.
He is proceded in death by his parents Calvin & Eula Miller, 2 Brothers Jay, and Ronnie.

There will be no visitation, and funeral services will be held in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main Street, Grafton Wednesday , August 3, 2005 at 11:00 am with Rev. Robert Shroyer pastor of The Church of the Open Door in Elyria. Burial will be in LaPorte Cemetery.
