Gloria J. Alicea, 54, Customer Service Rep.
Gloria J. Alicea 54 of Lorain died Thursday, August 4, 2005 in Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, Lorain following a lengthy illness.She was born February 13, 1951 in Lorain. She was a life long resident of Lorain.
She graduated from Admiral King High School in 1969. She received her Licensed Practical Nurse degree from St. Joseph Hospital School of Practical Nursing she had also studied accounting and business at Lorain Community College.
Ms. Alicea worked for May Company Credit Service in Sheffield as a customer service representative until last year. She also worked, as an assembler at Western Enterprises in Avon and for a time was a nurse at Lorain Manor Nursing Home in South Lorain.
She was an avid reader and studied the Bible. She enjoyed visiting Kelleys Island, knitting and gardening. She was very good at accounting and helped her family with there finances.
Among the survivors are her son Robert W. Alicea of West Palm Beach, Florida and her daughter Diane L. Alicea of Lorain; her mother Theresa Delgado of Lorain; brothers Vincent Delgado of Lorain and Robert Delgado of Middleburgh Heights; sisters Delores "Lolly" Gonzales, Vicki Sanchez, and Janet Romero all of Lorain; and a Grand Daughter.
She was preceded in death by her father Vincent Delgado.
Friends may call Sunday, August 7, 2005 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio, where funeral service will be Monday in the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain Ohio.
