Mary Claire Myers, 74, Member of St. Joseph Catholic Church
Mary Claire Myers (nee: Wilder), 74 years of age and a resident of Amherst, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2005 at Grace Hospital in Amherst following a lengthy illness.She was born December 25, 1930 in Baltimore, Maryland where she was raised. She moved to Westlake in 1969 and has been a resident of Amherst since 1967.
Mary was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst.
Survivors include her sons Ralph V. Myers, Jr. and William R. Myers both of Amherst, Stephen R. Myers of Birmingham, Robert J. Myers of Bedford, Thomas W. Myers of Oberlin, and Brian S. Myers of Elyria; her daughters Kathleen Perkins of Vermilion, Margaret Mary Rennie of Wakeman and Beth Ann Myers of Elyria; twenty-one grandchildren; and her brother Barry Wilder of Essex, Maryland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Wilder (nee: Rochford); and by her former husband Ralph V. Myers Sr.
Friends may call Monday, August 29, 2005 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Avenue, Amherst. Closing prayers will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church; 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst. The Rev. Fr. Lawrence Martello, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Amherst.
