Sonia E. Cancel, 40, Enjoyed Bingo and Cards

She was born May 11, 1965 in Hackensack, New Jersey she lived in Brooklyn, New York for ten years before moving to Lorain County in February of 2000.

Ms. Cancel had worked at Plastic Components in North Ridgeville. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards and watching movies.

Among the survivors are her son Jose C. Colon, Jr. of Lorain and a daughter Monica Colon of Elyria; her father Ruben Cancel Velez of Passaic, New Jersey, brothers Ruben Cancel, Jr. and Esteban Ramirez both of Lorain and three Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother Hilda Ramos and a nephew Ruben Cancel III.

Friends may call Friday, September 2, 2005, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio. Funeral service will be Saturday 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain Ohio.
