Johanna Stiglin, 94, Lorain Products Retiree

Photo of Johanna Stiglin Johanna Stiglin (nee Ivancic), 94, of Lorain, died Saturday September 10, 2005 at Mill Manor Nursing Home in Vermilion.

She was born April 14, 1911 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.

Johanna worked at Lorain Products as an assembler for 35 years before retiring. She was a member of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Lorain and the Slovenian Home in Lorain. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and traveling.

She is survived by her daughter Joann Butcher of Lorain, son Frank Stiglin of Pawley’s Island, South Carolina, brothers Tom Ivancic and Frank Ivancic, both of Lorain and John Ivancic of Cleveland Heights, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Stiglin, parents John and Maria Ivancic (nee Buchar), brother William Ivancic and sister Mary Rahotina.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 9:00 AM until time of funeral prayers at 11:00 AM at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. The mass of Christian Burial will follow Tuesday at 11:30 AM at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, 1705 E. 31st. St., Lorain. The Rev. Paul Krajnik, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
