Carol A. Savinsky, 67, Sales Correspondent

Carol A. Savinsky, (nee Radman), 67, of Amherst, died Sunday, September 11, 2005 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain from pancreatic cancer.

She was born November 20, 1937 in Lorain and had resided in Amherst since 1968 moving from Lorain.

Carol was a 1956 graduate of Lorain High School. She was a licensed beautician and had worked as a collection correspondent for GMAC for 7 years. In 1980 she worked for the Census Bureau and then worked at Lorain Products (Marconi) as a sales correspondent for 13 years retiring in 1999.

Carol was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst. She enjoyed traveling, crossword puzzles, reading and her grandchildren. She was an avid Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns fan.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years Richard Savinsky, daughter Linda Gross of Lorain, son Brian Savinsky of Mt. Vernon and 3 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Steve and Helen Radman (nee Naymik).

The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 13, 2005, from 4-8 PM at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:45 AM in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial Wednesday at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst. The Rev. Joseph Warner, associate pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
