Ruth C. Walters, 96, Member of the Christian Temple-Disciples of Christ Church

Mrs. Walters was born on September 19, 1908 in Lorain, OH and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a graduate of Lorain High School Class of 1926B.

She was a member of the Christian Temple-Disciples of Christ Church. She was active in the Christian Women's Fellowship and had been a former organist at the church. She enjoyed her winter home in the Florida Keys, reading and working crossword puzzles.

Mrs. Walters is survived by her three daughters, Susan Cardonick of Citrus Springs FL, Faith Laidlaw of Sheffield Village, Luellyn Roberts of Amherst, sons, Richard Walters of Valley City, OH, Thomas Walters of Amherst, Jeffrey Walters of San Rafael, CA, 19 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 32 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Llewellyn T. (Lefty) Walters in 1991, her parents Floyd and Faith (nee Kehren) Rice and sister Cleo Fredebaugh.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2005 at 11:00 am in the Christian Temple-Disciples of Christ Church, 940 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052 with Rev. Bradley J. Donahue, pastor, officiating.
