Lloyd Kyle, 77, Dealer/Operator of Kyle Buick Pontiac
Lloyd S. Kyle, Jr., 77 of Vermilion died Thursday, September 22, 2005 at Inn at Chappel Creek, Vermilion.Born November 16, 1927 in Polk, Ohio, he had been a Vermilion resident since 1938.
He graduated from Vermilion High School in the class of 1945. Mr. Kyle was a veteran of the United States Army. He was dealer/operator of Kyle Buick Pontiac, Vermilion retiring in 2000.
He was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed Church where he served as a Deacon. He was a life member of AMVETS Post 22, Vermilion, and AMVETS Post 397, Venice, FL. He was an Honorary Kentucky Colonel. He was a member of Ely Masonic Lodge #424, Vermilion, the Vermilion Boat Club, 8-Ball Dance Club, Antique Automobile Collectors Club and a member of the GM Dealer Council. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed boating and antique cars.
He is survived by his daughter, Jeannine Kyle-Reznik, Vermilion; sons, Reverend Brian L. Kyle, Whitehall, Michigan and Gerald A. Kyle, Vermilion; 6 grandchildren; and a brother, Robert L. Kyle, Vermilion. He was proceeded by his wife, Ruth A., 2000, sister, Evelyn M. Alheit, and brother, Charles E. Kyle.
Friends may call Sunday, September 25, 2005, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion where Ely Lodge #424 will conduct Masonic Services at 7 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church, corner of Ohio and Grand Streets, Vermilion. Reverend Brian L. Kyle and Pastor Bob Daugherty, will co-officiate.
Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion. The Vermilion Veterans Council will conduct military honors.
