Kay F. Deliman, 68, Graduate of Saint Joseph Hospital School of Practical Nursing

Kay F.Deliman, (nee Farlow), age 68, of Lorain, died Wednesday September 28, 2005 at the Ohio Extended Care Center in Lorain following an extended illness.

Mrs. Deliman was born on October 6, 1936 in Cumberland, Maryland and had been a resident of Lorain since 1950.

She was a graduate of Lorain High School and went on to enroll in the Saint Joseph Hospital School of Practical Nursing where she completed training as a member of the second last graduating class of that institution. She had been employed as an L.P.N. by the Ohio Extended Care Center in Lorain from 1983 through 1997.

Kay was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lorain. She enjoyed sewing and reading and had a special interest in Great Britain and Britain’s royal family.

Survivors include her husband of fifty years John A. Deliman, sons John R. Deliman of Dublin, Ohio and James A. Deliman of Flushing, New York, a daughter: Janet L. Meyers of Lorain, along with granddaughter Jamie Meyers, grandsons Tom Meyers and Steven Deliman, and a brother James T. Farlow currently residing in Aurora, Ohio.

Her parents Robert and Leona (nee Stimmel) Farlow preceded Mrs. Deliman in death.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 2, 2005 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel – 3224 Broadway Avenue – Lorain. Funeral services will be observed Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel with the Reverend Doctor Linwood H. Chamberlain, Jr., co-pastor of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park – Amherst Township.
