Marcella Papp, 86, Moen Corporation Assembler
Marcella Papp, (nee Csontos), age 86, of Lorain, died Saturday October 1, 2005 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center following a brief illness.Mrs. Papp was born in Lorain on February 13, 1919 and had been a life-long resident of the city.
She attended Lorain High School and had been employed as an assembler with the Western-Automatic Corporation of Elyria and its successor companies Stanadyne Industries and Moen Industries for more than thirty years. She retired from the manufacturer in 1980.
Mrs. Papp was a parishioner of Saint Ladislaus Catholic Church of Lorain whose hobbies included flower gardening.
Survivors include her son Donald of Lorain, daughter Betty Ferner also of Lorain, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a brother Albert Csontos residing in Lakewood.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph in 1986, by her parents John and Mary Csontos, by a brother Albert Csontos, and a sister Hermine Vorabetz.
Friends may call Tuesday, October 4, 2005, from 6 :00 p.m. until time of funeral services at 8:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel 3224 Broadway Lorain. The Reverend James P. Schmitz, M.Div., pastor of Saint Ladislaus Catholic Church will officiate. Private family burial services will be observed at a later date.
