Richard Jones, 62, Administrator for the Miami Dade County Parks System

He was born December 19, 1942 in Lorain, and had lived in the Vermilion area 27 years before moving to Florida.

He worked as an administrator for the Miami Dade County Parks System. He enjoyed fishing and horticulture.

Survivors include his son, Ryan Owen Jones of Jackson TN; brothers, Kenneth Jones, Vermilion, Thomas Jones, Lorain, and Bob Jones of Hawaii; and a sister, Linda Karney of Amherst. He was preceded in death by his brother,Terry Jones, and his parents Owen and Ann (nee Zydiak) Jones.

Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the Palm Woodland Funeral Home, 27100 Old Dixie Highway, Homestead, Florida. Graveside services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion, Ohio. The Reverend Bob Daugherty, pastor of the Vermilion E & R Church, will officiate. Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, will
handle local arrangements.
