Leonard Joseph Krawczenski, 76, Army Veteran

Leonard Joseph Krawczenski, 76, Tucson, AZ passed away Monday, October 10, 2005, at the home of his sister in Lorain after a sudden illness.

Born February 16, 1929 in Lorain, he has ived in Tucson for the past 13 years coming from Strongsville, Ohio. Prior to living in Strongsville, he lived in West Virginia.

Leonard worked in the Sales Department of Shell Oil Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1984. He was an Army veteran during Korean Conflict and attended St. Odilia Catholic Church in Tucson, AZ.

He was a member and former president of Kiwanis. His hobbies included silversmithing, where he taught classes on the art, and also lapidary. He also enjoyed golfing.

Survivors include his son Joseph Krawczenski of Stow, OH, daughters Karen Charny of Raleigh, NC Pamela Porter of Phoenix, AZ, 4 grandchildren, sister Margaret Sirak of Lorain Nieces and Nephews .

He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis R. Krawczenski (nee Jochum), sister Florence Skolnicki, and parents Joseph and Pauline Krawczenski.

A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, October 13, 2005 at 10 AM at St. Stanislaus Church in Lorain. Fr. Kevin Shemuga, and Deacon William Schill will officiate. Further services and inurnment will take place in Tucson.
