Freda A. Davis, 80, Bendix-Westinghouse Retiree
Freda A. Davis, (nee Jurowski), age 80, of Elyria, died Saturday October 15, 2005 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center following a brief illness.Mrs. Davis was born September 25, 1925 in Lorain and had been a life-long resident of Lorain County.
She was a graduate of Lorain High School and had been employed as an assembler for Bendix-Westinghouse in Elyria for more than thirty years; she retired in 1984.
A parishioner of Saint John Roman Catholic Church, she is survived by her son Wayne Davis residing in Cincinnati, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, sisters Phyllis Gomcsak of Grafton, Wanda Pijor of Sheffield Lake, and brothers Alphonse Jurowski of Toledo and Edward Jurowski of Wagner, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Davis, Sr., by son Frank Davis, Jr., by her parents Vincent and Anna (nee Niznik) Jurowski, and by sisters Franczeska Davis, Pearl Garner, and Loretta Engel.
Family funeral services will be held Saturday October 22nd in Saint John Roman Catholic Church with the Reverend Thomas R. Smith, pastor of the parish officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery – Lorain.
