Barbara R. Kosa, 70, Lorain Board of Education Finance Office Retiree

She was born April 29, 1935 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident. She married in 1954 and raised her family in Lorain.

Barbara was employed with the Lorain Public Schools as a library aide for a number of years. She retired from the Lorain Board of Education Finance Office in 1998.

She is survived by her daughters Sharon Krzemienieswki and her husband Max of Amherst Township, Lynn Kosa of Tampa, Florida, Diane Torrens and her husband Bill of Beulah, North Dakota and Shelley Bartoldus of Lorain, son Louis Kosa III and his wife Michelle of Lorain, mother Clara Bober (nee Eglinski) of Lorain, brother Lee Bober and his wife Tess of Lorain, sister Karyn Foil and her husband Rich of Lorain and brother Jim Bober and his wife Millie of Berlin Heights, sister-in-law MaryAnne NeSmith of York, South Carolina, 10 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Louis Kosa in 1981 and her father Frank Bober in 2005.

The family will receive friends Friday, October 21, 2005, from 4-8 PM at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Dale Warrick pastor of Cornerstone United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
