Elma M. Prieur, 87, 2nd Grade Teacher

She was born October 21, 1918 in Lakewood, OH and has been a Vermilion resident most of her life.

Mrs. Prieur graduated from Bowling Green State University. She was a second grade teacher at Lake School, Vermilion retiring after 20 years.

She was a past member of the United Church of Christ Congregational, Vermilion, a member of Madeleine Chapter of Eastern Stars #204, and the American Legion Aux. #397, Vermilion and the Eight Ball Dance Club. She enjoyed playing bridge and swimming.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years Charles Prieur; 2 daughters, Patricia McGuire of Birmingham, and Suzanne Krichbaum of Vermilion; son, David Prieur of Elgin, IL, and 7 grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Lawrie and Lois (Moyer) Johnson, and brother, Glen Johnson.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday Oct. 24, 2005 at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, Tuesday October 25, 2005. The Reverend Jim Peter will officiate. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
