Linda L. Nehls, 58, Lorain County Domestic Relations Court Clerk
Linda L. Nehls (nee Akosi), 58, of Lorain, died Friday October 21, 2005 at the Hospice of the Cleveland Clinic at the Renaissance in Olmsted Township after a long illness.She was born June 30, 1947 in Lorain and had resided in Sheffield Lake for the last 40 years moving from Lorain.Linda was a graduate of Lorain High School in 1965.
She worked as a clerk in the Lorain County Domestic Relations Court Juvenile Division for 20 years.
Linda was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Lorain. She enjoyed bowling and participated in the Slovak Social Bowling League on Wednesday nights at Slovak Lanes in Lorain. She enjoyed flower arranging, gardening and traveling to the family cabin in Pennsylvania where she liked to fish and hunt. She enjoyed family activities with her children and grandchildren and her pet dogs. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years Frank Nehls, son Frankie Nehls and his wife Denise of Lorain, daughter Krista Lyn Nehls of Avon Lake, 3 grandchildren, brother Joe Akosi and his wife Jeneen of Lorain and sisters Denise Shildwachter and her husband George of Elyria Township, Cindy Brickner and her husband Phil of Lorain and Jennifer Sennhenn and her husband John of Lorain. She was preceded in death by a baby boy and her parents Joseph & Yolanda Akosi (nee Turton).
The family will receive friends Monday, October 24, 4-8 PM at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 AM. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 1454 Lexington Ave., Lorain. The Rev. Robert Glepko, pastor, and the Rev. Robert Dybo, deacon, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
