Anna M. Bors, 91, Laundry Department Supervisor at St. Joseph Hospital Retiree

She was born July 18, 1914 in Curtisville, Pennsylvania and had resided in Lorain since 1924.

Anna attended Holy Trinity Church elementary school, Hawthorne Junior High School and Lorain High School.

She was employed at the former St. Joseph Hospital in Lorain in the laundry department for 40 years, the last five years as department supervisor before retiring.

Anna was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lorain where she was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society and Slovak Catholic Sokols Wreath #111. She was an avid lover of classical and church music and enjoyed sports particularly watching the Cleveland Indians and Browns on television.

She is survived by her sisters Mary Ann Hentges and Helen T. Kozloski, both of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her parents John J. Bors in 1970 and Anna Bors (nee Straka) in 1980 and brother John J. Bors, Jr. in 2003.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 28, 2005 from 5-8 PM at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where the Holy Trinity Altar & Rosary Society will recite the rosary Thursday at 5:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 AM at the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian burial Friday at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2428 Elyria Ave., Lorain. The Rev. David A. Novak, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
