Helen M. Porcher, 75, Lady's Auxiliary of the United Steel Workers Member
Helen M. Porcher (Nee Williams) 75 of Lorain died Monday, October 31, 2005 in New Life Hospice Center of Saint Joseph, Lorain following a lengthy illness.She was born February 12, 1930 in Coshocton. She was a Lorain resident for 49 years. She moved here in 1956.
Mrs. Porcher was employed as a sales clerk for Hills Department Store in South during the early 1970'S.
She was a member of the Lady's Auxiliary of the United Steel Workers, Local 1104, Lorain. She and her husband league bowled with the mixed couples at the Croatian Club formally in South Lorain. She enjoyed collecting mouse figurines, crocheting, knitting and was an avid reader.
Among the survivors are her husband of 51 years Paul E. Porcher of Lorain, a son Robert A. Porcher of Lorain and a brother Edward D. Williams of Coshocton.
She was preceded in death by her parents (Walter M. and Rhea G. (nee Kaiser) Williams, brothers Ray M. and Richard W. Williams.
Friends may call Thursday, November 3, 2005 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio. Where the funeral service will be Friday at 10:00 AM in the funeral Home. The reverend Dale Warrick, pastor of Corner Stone United Methodist Church Lorain will officiate. Followed By burial in Resthaven Memory Garden, Avon.
