Carlos F. Robles, 61, Electrician at Republic Engineered Technologies

Carlos F. Robles, 61, of Amherst, died suddenly Wednesday November 2, 2005 at his home.

He was born December 13, 1943 in Corpus Christi, Texas and had resided in Amherst for the past 26 years moving from Lorain.

Carlos served with the US Army from 1962-1965 and was stationed in Germany.

He worked at Republic Engineered Technologies in Lorain in the Blast Furnace as an Electrical Maintenance man for the past 37 years.

He was a member of Hungarian Reformed United Church of Christ in Lorain.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years Julianna (nee Stipe), sons: Carlos M. Robles of Cleveland, Steven M. Robles, Manuel Robles and Robert D. Robles, all of Amherst, daughter Irene Kimes of Amherst, 2 grandchildren, sister Maria Santiago of Eagle Pass, Texas, brothers Jose Navarro of Chula Vista, California and Mario Navarro of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and sisters Oralia Seymour of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Estella Rivera of Freeburg, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his father Carlos P. Robles, mother Manuela Navarro, sister Gloria Dvorak and brother Fauftino Robles.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 4, 2005 from 4-8 PM at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of funeral services at 11:00 AM at Hungarian Reformed United Church of Christ, 1691 E. 31st St., Lorain. The Rev. Peter Toth, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township with military honors conducted by Disabled American Veteran Louis Paul Proy Chapter #20 of Lorain.
