Rudolph A. Kubasak, 88, World War II Lieutenant JG in the US Navy
Rudoplh A. Kubasak, 88, of Lorain, died Thursday, November 3, 2005 at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home on Lorain after a lengthy illness.He was born July 14, 1917 in cicago, Illinois and has resided in Lorain since childhood.
Rudy served with the US Navy during World War II as a Lieutenant JG in the Pacific Theater and the Atlantic Theater.
Rudy was a pharmacist and co-owner of National Pharmacy in Lorain which was founded by his father. He retired in 1990.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elyria Township and the Lorain County Pharmeceutical Association. He enjoyed golfing and reading.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years Geraldine Mariotto-Kubasak (nee Nardini) of Lorain; sons: Rudolph G. Kubasak of Lorain, Robert B. Kubasak of Grafton, and Richard M. Kubasak of Lorain; step-daughters: Victoria Radican and Christine Koba, both of Rocky River; 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and brother Emil Kubasak if Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Helen Kubasak (nee Stacko) in 1971, parents Rudolph and Anne Kubasak (nee Holobiak), and brother Victor Kubasak.
Private funeral services were held Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elyria Township. The Rev. Gaetano Menegatto and the Rev. John Stacoff, deacon of the church, concelebrated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetary in Lorain.
