Anna F. Czarney, 86, St. Stanislaus Altar & Rosary Society Member

Photo of Anna F. Czarney Anna F. Czarney (nee Micjan), age 86 of Lorain, died Wednesday November 9, 2005 at the New Life Hospice Center of Saint Joseph following an extended illness.

Mrs. Czarney was born March 2, 1919 in Elco, Pennsylvania and had been a resident of Lorain since 1925 coming from her native Pennsylvania.

Anna was a parishioner of Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lorain and was a member of its Altar & Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Polish-American Citizens’ Club of Lorain whose main interest was gardening.

Survivors include a sister Leona Prosciuti of Lorain along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew in 1993, by her parents John and Catherine (nee Rudinsky) Micjan, by brothers John Micjan and Joseph T. Mitchell, along with a sister Marie Root.

Visitation will be Friday November 11, 2005 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel – 3224 Broadway – Lorain where a rosary service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. by the officers and members of the Saint Stanislaus Altar and Rosary Society.. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral chapel with the Reverend Kevin C. Shemuga, pastor of Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery – Lorain.
