David L. Kaiser, 49, Former Avon Councilman

David L. Kaiser, 49, of Avon, died Wednesday, November 23, 2005, at his home following a brief illness.

He was born June 19, 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio. He had lived in Avon for 49 years. Graduated in 1975 from Avon High School.

Mr. Kaiser worked for the Fisher Fazios and Finast grocery stores for several years. He had also worked for Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, South Lorain. He then became a Master Barber in 1998, working for Belle Barber Shop in Lakewood. He was also a councilman for Ward 2 in Avon from 1994-2002.

During the "disco era", David was a dancer and appeared regularly on Weekday Fever television show in Cleveland.

David enjoyed gardening, his pets, boating, entertaining, making wine, bike riding, dancing and traveling to the islands. He especially enjoyed holidays and was known for his gala parties.

Survivors include his sister, Jeannie D. Kaiser of Avon. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Kaiser (nee West) in 1998, and his father, Lawrence Kaiser in 2001.

Friends may call Sunday, November 27, 2005, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio. Where Prayer service at 5:00 PM in the funeral home. Entombment will be Tuesday, noon in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
