Jack W. Krenek, 79, Served in US Navy as a Navy Seal

Photo of Jack W. Krenek Jack W. Krenek, 79 of Sheffield Lake, died Monday, November 28, 2005 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain following a lengthy illness.

He was born September 29, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio, and has lived in this area since 1977.

He graduated from West Technical High School in Cleveland in 1942, and then served in the US Navy, as a frogman, presently known as a Navy Seal.

Jack was worked as a foundry man in the foundry department of Adalet Manufacturing in Cleveland for 36 years, where he was highly respected, retiring in 1990.

He was a cherished member of Church on the North Coast, Lorain, and enjoyed swimming, fishing, watching football and spending time with his family.

Surviving is his wife, Anna K. (nee Voss) of 36 years, son, Karl Horton of Wakeman; daughters, Jill Krenek Luu of Bayside, CA, Jackie Ladikos of Avon Lake, Sue Krenek of Lorain, and Kelly Vaa of Ogden, Utah; 12 grandchildren; a brother, William Davies of North Royalton; sisters, Linda Richards of Columbus, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian Mary Krenek Davies in 1998, and step father, William Wade Davies in 1970; a brother, Charles Davies.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Church on the North Coast, 4125 Leavitt Road, Lorain. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, is handling the arrangements.
