William C. Griffin, 81, Ford Motors Retiree

He was born April 9, 1924 in Whiteville, TN, and had lived in Vermilion since 1958.
He worked as a general utility person for Ford Motor, Lorain for 33 years retiring in 1981. He was a member of UAW Local 425 and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Marie (nee Harvey) Griffin; daughters, Mary and her husband, Bobby Richardson of Vermilion, Dorothy and her husband Steven Pounds of Huron; sons, William Clayton "Bubba" Griffin of Huron, James Murray Griffin of Huron,John Dean and his wife Jackie Griffin of Vermilion, Edward Lee Griffin of Orange, TX; 11 grandchildren; 16 Great grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sister, Marie Sharpe of Minneapolis, MN, Mary Ann Rojas of Safford, Arizona; brother, Joe Griffin of Whiteville, TN.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Clyde Langford and Katie Mai (nee Tisdale) Griffin; 4 sisters, Martha Ella LaFrain, Sadie Woods, Marie Sharpe and Josephine Henderson; 3 brothers, Floyd Griffin, Jessie Ray Griffin and Jerry Lee Griffin.
Friends may call Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. The Reverend Donald Resecker, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate.
Entombment will be at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
