Leonard Roark, 65, Enjoyed Hunting and Fishing
Leonard Roark, 65 years of age, and a resident of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away December 1, 2005 at his home following a sudden illness.He was born June 21, 1940 in Corbin, Kentucky. He moved to North Fairfield, Ohio in 1977 where he lived till moving to Hillsboro in 2005.
Leonard was employed for the Lorain Ford Motor Assembly Plan for over thirty years retiring in 1997 from the maintenance department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and mechanic work on everything from lawn mowers to car motors.
Survivors include his sons Leonard Roark of Elyria, Christopher D. Roark of Milan, Ohio, and Daniel Roark of Norwalk; his daughters Sherry Burton of Shelby, Ohio, Teresa Alana Mast of Hillsboro and Christine Dawn Roark of Norwalk; eleven grandchildren; his brothers Bill of Lorain, Jack of Sheffield Lake and Paul of Midland, Texas; and his sisters Virda Holder of Corbin, Kentucky, Mollie Moore and Elsie Cardona, both of Sheffield and Patricia Barker of Sheffield Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Louise Roark (nee: Patterson); and by his brother Charles Roark.
Friends may call Wednesday, December 7, 2005, from 12 Noon to the time of service at 1 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Avenue, Amherst. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
