Marvin J. Stolar, 48, Lorain Ford Assembly Plant Retiree
Marvin J. "Marv" Stolar, 48, of Vermilion, died Friday, December 2, 2005 in his home unexpectedly.He was born May 16, 1957 in Lorain and lived here until moving to Vermilion in 1996. He graduated from Southview High School in 1976.
Mr. Stolar retired as an assembler at the Lorain Ford Assembly Plant, Lorain. He worked there for 28 years.
He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union Local 425 Lorain. He played league softball in Milan, Vermilion and Lorain. He also coached Vermilion Recreation girl's softball teams, where he coached his daughters and his grand daughter. Mr. Stolar was a devoted Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
Among the survivors are his wife of six years Diana (nee Hororsz) Stolar of Vermilion; twin daughters Amber Stolar of Lorain and Tanya Camera of Vermilion, daughter Lacy Stolar of Winona, West Virginia, step daughter Amber Sweeney of Lorain, step sons John and Jason Sweeney both of Lorain; his father John J. Stolar of Dayton, Ohio; sister Marilyn Deaton of Dayton, brother Neil Stolar of California and eleven Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Mother Bernice M. (nee Wagner) in 2000.
Friends may call Monday, December 5, 2005 at 2:00 PM to time of service at 4:30 PM at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio. Reverend James Peter, in Community Health Partners Chaplain will officiate.
