Phyllis Lillian Mixon (nee: Brindley), 61 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Monday, December 5, 2005 at her home following a lengthy illness.

She was a former Sunday School teacher, a member of the Moose Lodge in Linden, New Jersey, and the Gloria Chapter #159, Order of the Eastern Star.

Her remarkable will-power and her incredible ambition were an inspiration to all who knew her. She was a free-spirit, a hard worker, and a kind heart. She taught her family and friends to remember to have fun and to look forward to each day as a gift. Her determination was put to the test during the past seven years as she battled with illness.
