Maria I. Gonzalez, 91, Homemaker and Mother

She was born April 12, 1914 in Lares, Puerto Rico. She came to Lorain in 1980 and then to Avon in 1990.

Mrs. Gonzalez was a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed sewing and drawing cartoons.

Among the survivors were her sons Juan S. Bauza of Lorain and Angelo Soto of Cleveland; a sister Margo Rodriguez of Tampa, Florida; five Grandchildren and seven Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Emilio Soto Bauza in 2000, her parents Paulino and Marzella Gonzalez, a brother Angel Gonzalez and a sister Carmen Gonzalez Demiranda.

Friends may call Thursday, December 8, 2005 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Funeral services will be Friday with closing prayers at 8:45 AM followed by Mass of the Resurrection at 9:30 AM in Sacred Heart Chapel, 3901 Pearl Avenue, South Lorain. Burial will following in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
