Maggie "Flo" Florine Yates, 71, Loved to Fly and Be Around Her Grandchildren

Maggie “Flo” Florine Yates (nee: Bostic), 71 years of age, and a resident of South Amherst, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2005 at her home following a 2 � year illness.

She was born November 15, 1934 in Huddy, Kentucky. She lived in Kentucky until age 21, moved to Sheffield Lake in 1959 and has been a resident of South Amherst for the past ten years.

She attended Midway Baptist Church where she was active with the Silver Saints. She had helped with the Day Care at First Baptist Church of Sheffield Lake for two years. She loved to fly, go shopping, going out to lunch, give of herself to help others, and having her grandchildren around her.

Survivors include her husband of forty-nine years Eugene Yates; her sons Steven E. Yates of Sesane, Pennsylvania and Randy Yates of Huddy, Kentucky; her daughters Reva Skinner of Shelbyville, Kentucky, and Rita A. Yates of South Amherst; eight grandchildren; and her sister Cordy Alice Francis of Huddy, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Reva Bostic (nee: Maynard); and by her sist6er Mary Lorene Bostic.

Friends may call Tuesday, December 13, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst OH 44011. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at 11 a.m. from North Lake Missionary Baptist Church; 323 N. Lake St., South Amherst. The Rev. Carson Fraley, pastor, and Rev. Charles Keesee of Midway Baptist Church in Elyria, will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst.
