Geraldine V. Guthrie, 92, Book Keeper for Guthrie Sohio and Crow Lumber for 20 years

She was born January 12, 1913 in Shelby, OH and moved to Vermilion in 1947.

She graduated from business school and worked as a book keeper for Guthrie Sohio and Crow Lumber for 20 years.

She was a member of Vermilion Evangelical & Reformed Church where she was involved in the Mary Makers. She had also been involved in the Lorain Bell Choir, several bowling leagues, and the Madeleine Chapter #204 Order of Eastern Star where she received her 50 year pin. She also enjoyed fishing and playing cards.

Survivors include her son, David Guthrie of Vermilion; daughter, Cynthia Guthrie Farrell; of Vermilion; 1 granddaughter, Joyce; 1 great-grandson, Joshua; sister, Jane Miller of Bucyrus, OH and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Howard Guthrie in 1963, parents, Harry B. and Georgiana (nee Brubaker) Nelson.

Friends may call Tuesday Dec. 20, 2005 from 7-9 pm. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio where there will be an Eastern Star service at 7:00 pm.

Friends may call Wednesday from 9:30 am until the time of funeral services at 10:30 am at the Riddle Funeral Home. Pastor Bob Daugherty will officiate. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
