Ina Faye Forbus, 82, Seamstress at Joseph & Feiss Co.

Ina Faye Forbus (nee Mitchell), 82, of Sheffield Township, died Saturday December 31, 2005 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain after a lengthy illness.

She was born March 30, 1923 in Mountain Top, Arkansas and had resided in Sheffield Township since 1948 moving from Ozark, Arkansas.

Ina Faye worked at General Industries in Elyria as a machine operator and then at Joseph & Feiss Company in Lorain as a seamstress and supervisor for 9 years.

Ina Faye was a founding member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Vincent. The church was built on land donated by she and her husband Johnnie.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Darrell Forbus of Elyria, stepson Billy Jack Forbus of Ozark, Arkansas, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, sisters Lorene Stacy and Delphine Miner, both of Ozark, Arkansas and brothers Gayle Mitchell and James Mitchell, both of Ozark, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Forbus in 1987, parents Arthur Lewis Mitchell and Eunice Mitchell (nee Dickerson), brother Gerald Mitchell and sister Alta Self.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 3, 2006, from 5-8 PM at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain and Friday 5-8 PM at Shaffer Funeral Home, Hwy 64 W, Ozark, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held on Saturday in Arkansas. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery in Ozark.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to CHP/New Life Hospice Foundation, 3700 Kolbe Rd, Lorain, OH 44053.
