Gary J. Thomas Sr., 57, Ohio Licensed Stationary Engineer
Gary J. Thomas, Sr., 57, of Lorain, died Sunday, January 1, 2006 at his home after a brief illness.He was born February 24, 1948 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident. Gary was a 1966 graduate of Lorain High School.
He was an Ohio licensed Stationary Engineer for 30 years having worked for Lorain County, the Cleaver-Brooks Company which worked throughout Northern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania, Lorain County Community College for 18 years and for the Lorain City Schools where he retired October 2004.
He enjoyed fishing, bowling, golf and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years Marion C. Thomas (nee Parker), daughter Lisa M. Miller of Lorain, sons: Gary J. Thomas, Jr. of San Leandro California and JC Thomas of Cumming, Georgia, parents Gerald L. & Lillian L. Thomas (nee Wright) of Lorain, sisters Sandra Siebenaller of New Riegel, Ohio and Sharon Motolik of Wakeman, 5 grandchildren and 10 nieces and nephews.
Cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
