Mary L. Colvig, 65, Adminsitrative Assistant At A-1 Welding

Mary L. Colvig, (nee Policy), age 65, of Lorain, died unexpectedly at her home on January 2, 2006.

She was born in Sheffield Lake, Ohio on September 18, 1940 and had been a resident of Lorain for the past thirty-seven years.

She was a graduate of Brookside High School and had been employed as an administrative assistant for the A-1 Welding Company for thirteen years retiring in 2003.

She was a parishioner of the Catholic Church of Saint Peter in Lorain whose hobbies included knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends.

Survivors include daughters Kimberly Konik of Columbus, Cathy Gabel of Cincinnati, and Crista Rigsby of Vermilion, son Rob Colvig, eight grandchildren, sisters Janet Scamaldo of Simi Valley, California and Evelyn Gruber of Wadsworth, and brothers William Policy of Broadview Heights and James Policy of Cleveland.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Margaret (nee McMahon) Policy and brothers Franklin, Daniel, and Raymond.

Friends may call Friday, January 6, 2006, from 5:00 p.m. until time of memorial services at 8:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel – 3224 Broadway – Lorain.
