Howard M. Robinson, 79, Enjoyed Fishing and Bowling

Photo of Howard M. Robinson Howard M. Robinson, 79, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at Community Health Partners West after a lengthy illness.

He was born May 25, 1926 in Ribolt, KY. He had been a Wellington resident and had lived in Vermilion the past 30 years.

He attended Tollesboro High School. He worked at farming and at Wald Manufacturing Co., Maysville, KY. After moving to OH in 1955, he worked at General Motors, Elyria, OH. He was employed by Ford Motor Co, Lorain, OH for 30 years retiring in 1988.

He attended Christ Community Church, Wellington, OH for many years. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and playing bluegrass music.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda (nee Lee); 2 sons, Steven Robinson of Vermilion, OH and Martin Robinson of Grosse Pointe Farms, MI; a granddaughter, Rebecca Robinson of Huron, OH; 2 brothers, Russell Robinson and James Robinson, both of Maysville, KY; 3 sisters, Rose Newsome of Mt. Orab, OH, Alice Crum of South Webster, OH and Minnie Cole of Colorado; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Nancy (nee Rigdon) Robinson and a sister, Hester Cropper.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 19, 2006 from 5-8 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH and on Friday, January 20, 2006 from 5-9 p.m. at the Dickerson Funeral Home, 205 2nd Street, Vanceburg, KY. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with the Reverend Jim Vaden, pastor of Vanceburg Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will follow in Blackoak Cemetery, Vanceburg, Kentucky.
